Abraham Lincoln + Lincoln's Leadership
Born on February 12, 1809, in Hodgenville, Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States of America, led the Union to victory in the Civil War. A great, tall man standing at 6 feet, 4 inches, he was known for many great accomplishments, including the Emancipation Proclamation, his dedication to the opposition of slavery, the Gettysburg Address, (lesser for the Lincoln-Douglas debates,) and many more battles during the war. He was clever and confident as a politician and military man and made many fine strategic maneuvers as he steered his men to victory. He grew on people across the nation and was mourned by many when he was shot by the assassin, John Wilkes Booth.
